New Information: 

2021-2022 Student Schedules

Student schedules will be viewable in the Student/Parent Portal on Monday, Aug. 16. Please note that all student schedules are tentative and subject to change up until the first day of the school year.  Schedules were developed based upon student requests collected in January. 

Request to Change Schedule Form Use this form to request a change in your schedule for Trimester 1 if 1) you have already taken a class you are scheduled for, 2) you have not taken the prerequisite course required for a class in your schedule 3) you have an empty period or 4) you are scheduled for a class that is not at the appropriate academic level for you. This form will open on Monday, Aug. 16 and close on Aug. 26 at 3:00pm.

Changes will NOT be made to accommodate:

  1. Specific teacher requests
  2. Lunch requests
  3. To have the same class as a friend
  4. Sport schedules

Senior Study Request Seniors interested in a Senior Study either period 1 or 6 should complete a request using this form. This form will open on Monday, Aug. 16 and close on Sept. 3.

Student Aid Request Form Students interested in being a Student Aid should pick up a hard copy form in the Counseling Office.

Parent Volunteers Needed!

Each year, we seek out parents who are able to volunteer their time to help with events at ERHS. If you would like to add your name to our volunteer list, please enter your information here. We will use this information to seek out volunteers throughout the year. Our first volunteer opportunity will be during Raptor Round-Up on August 19th! Thank you in advance!

Pledge to Graduate - Win an iPad! 

Students who are committed to graduate with their class and receive their high school diploma can sign up to win an iPad courtesy of Washington County by doing to the website and committing to:

  • Attend school regularly
  • Achieve the grades and credits necessary to graduate
  • Be involved in high school activities
  • Volunteer in my community

Raptor Round-Up

August 19, 2021

Incoming 10th-12th grade students should plan to bring their schedule to school on Raptor Round-Up, Thursday, August 19th between the hours of 8:00 AM-3:00 PM. Students will be able to check out textbooks from the media center, get their pictures taken, find their locker, purchase a school planner ($5) and reconnect with staff at ERHS. Incoming 9th graders will do this on August 31st. For a detailed to-do list click here

All new students in grades 10-12, and 10th grade students who were in VLA last year are encouraged to join the ERHS Ambassadors for a guided tour and Q & A session from 1-2 PM in the Cafeteria.

Transition Week for Students (August 31-September 2)

August 31, 2021 - First day of school for 9th grade students only

Orientation for all 9th grade students is on Tuesday, August 31st from 8:30 AM to 3:06 PM at East Ridge High School. This is the official first day of school for incoming 9th grade students district-wide. Orientation will begin at 8:30 AM in the gym with a pepfest.  Then, students will go to their advisory class and meet their Student Ambassadors. Students will receive their schedules and run through a mock schedule which will allow them to find their classes, meet their teachers, locate their locker, and try their combination. Students will also be able to check out any needed textbooks for the upcoming school year. It is also a great opportunity to meet building administration, counselors, and other personnel, as well as learn more about school culture and procedures. Wear comfortable clothes and get ready to have some fun! Lunch will be available for all students in the cafeteria. Student Ambassadors and staff will be on hand to assist with all activities and to lead tours and/or help locate classrooms.

September 1, 2021 - First day of school for 10th-12th grade students

This is the official first day of school for incoming 10th-12th grade students district-wide. School will start at 8:30 AM. Students will follow their regular schedule. As a school, we will use these transition days to reintroduce students to the culture and climate of ERHS. Students will meet their teachers, other students, building administration, and work through student expectations. A main goal of this transition week is to reconnect our students to the ERHS experience.

Free Meals for the 2021-22 School Year

Meals will be free for the 2021-22 school year for all families. For families to still receive other benefits through the free and reduced-priced application, families must submit a new free and reduced-priced meals application each year.  To receive free/reduced rates for parking passes, athletic fee’s etc… Families must complete the free and reduced application through nutrition services.  If you need assistance please feel free to contact us. If your family received free or reduced-priced meals last school year, that same eligibility will remain in effect for the first 30 days of school or until your application is processed. Families who have this 30-day carry-over and have not submitted an application for the current school year by October 14, 2021 will lose their eligibility. For more information, click here.

Seniors & Senior Parents:  All information regarding commencement/graduation and important dates will be on our new website soon. Commencement is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 5th.

Fall Sports Begin Monday, August 16

The first day of practice for all Fall Sports begins Monday, August 16!  Athletes must be registered to participate on August 16. Just a reminder an updated sports physical is needed to complete registration. Families you can check our activities website here for each individual sports updates and coaches contact information. HomeTown Ticketing

South Washington County Schools will be partnering with HomeTown Ticketing to offer digital tickets for all sporting events starting this fall. Families will be able to purchase their digital tickets online to games through our activities website. You will be able to purchase and show your ticket on your phone to get into events. This will be a common process at home and away sporting events. More details will be coming soon.
